Vegetable fries ( Pakodey)
Ingredients for 2 people -
- Rice - 1 handful
- Gram flour ( Besan) - 4-5 tbsp
- Cauliflower - 7-8 small flowers
- Onion - 3-4 round slices
- Potato - 9-10 long thin slices
- Eggplant - 9-10 long thin slices
- Salt to taste
- Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp
- Red chilli flakes - 1/2 tsp
- Oil- 1 bowl ( for frying)
- Soak rice for 30 minutes.
- Drain the water, grind it in a mixer.
- Transfer the content in a large bowl, add gram flour with 1/2 cup of water and mix it gently, so that no lumps are left over.
- Add salt and red chilli flakes, mix it.
- Heat the oil in a pan. Dip 1 vegetable at a time in a mixture and deep fry it in a pan.
- Enjoy it with a tomato sauce/ pudina chutney.
