Kids- Bread Pizza

Kids are very peculiar about what they are eating and it's become very difficult sometimes, to make them right food and vegetables. I have seen some kids eating all the vegetables and fruits without objection, and some of them choose the vegetables from their food and leave them in side of their plates and finish rest of the food.

Now, it's important for these kids to eat vegetables. So, I found a solution. It's important for them to eat veggies, but not important for them to know that they are eating veggies.

All of them like Pizza. In fact some of them are great fans of pizza. But, most of them take out the veggies from their slices and eat whatever is left in the pizza. So, I thought lets make their Pizza little interesting. Veggies in it (being mom satisfaction for me) and a pizza (love for them). They never come to know that they are eating veggies. I bet your little one will hug you and say " Mom, I love you. You are the  best".

Here, is one of the recipe, you can change veggies according to your wish and availability.

Ingredients for 1 Bread Pizza-
  1. Bread Slice - 1
  2. Salsa Sauce/Spinach Paste (boiled and grinded) - 2 tbsp
  3. Butter - 1 tbsp
  4. Potato - 1/4 cup (chopped)
  5. Carrot - 1 tbsp (grated or finely chopped)
  6. Cheese - 1/2 cup ( grated)
Directions -
  • Preheat your oven at 450 degrees.
  • Spread a layer of butter on the bread.

  • Spread another layer of Salsa sauce/Spinach Paste ( I boil Spinach, grind it and keep it ready in refrigerator).
  • Add chopped potatoes and carrot.

  • Cover it properly by grated cheese. So, that none of the veggies are seen.

  • Make some funny shape on the top of cheese with carrot or tomato sauce or green sauce (anything u wish).
  • Put it in Oven and bake it for 5-7 minutes, till the cheese is melted and starts turning brown in edges. I cook little more, so that the cheese is little brown in color, so that veggies are properly hidden especially when I have carrots inside.

  • Pack it in your little 1's Lunch bag and saw everything finished when they are back home.
  • Good luck.
