It has 3 theme parks - 

1. Disneyland
2. California Adventure park
3. Downtown Disney

Few things which you want to get before coming to disneyalnd-  

• Autograph book
• Camera
• Snacks for kids and adults
• Water bottles - water is availabel in disneyland everywhere, but you need to carry atleast 1 bottle.
• There are lots of restaurants available right in front of Disneyland, so it's your choice you want to eat outside or inside the Disneyland. Rates- yes, it is costlier in Disney.

Disneyland Theme Park - 

Disneyland is again sub-divided -

• Main street U.S.A.- This is the front and main street which connects the central square or say the castle to the main entrance square. in the day time, you have lots of transport available, like horse cart, Double Decker bus, small car, and a train. All the other transports, stops after evening, but the train service is available mostly till 30 mins before the Disneyland is closed. Please check the Disneyland closing time as it differs everyday and every time of the year. Few days back, my friend told me these days it's open till 12:00 a.m., midnight. All the shops are available in this street itself. The restaurants,food courts and all the stuff toys and everything related to Disney is available here to buy. But, my personal experience, do not take the stuffs from here, as its is too expensive. you will get the same stuff in Downtown Disney, at much lower price. Keep your eyes open, as you can find any characters standing outside to get a photograph done with you.

• New Orleans Square- The main attraction here is a Haunted Mansion and the Pirates of Caribbean. You will definitely enjoy Pirates of Caribbean, little ones love it. It s a small ride in a boat. Now, comes the haunted mansion. It's a full fledged ride, and that too it has height restriction so I guess may be you guys have to take turn if your kid is not that tall. Next, to Haunted mansion, is a " the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh"- Its a small ride and a little ones love it.

• Frontier land - In front of Critter country, there is a deck, from where takes you to the central Island " Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer's Island". It is not very interesting, but kids enjoy here. Then, in the frontier land, there ia a big ride which is quite fast and again it has a height restrictions, the ride is "Big Thunder Mountain Railroad". Other than that there are few stuffs like shooting exposition, golden horse shoe stage. On the back of " big thunder Rail Road" - there is a cattle area, and kids can play with the cattle's for sometime.

• Critter Country- " the Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" and the " splash Mountain" (again a ride)- is the main attractions of Critter Country.

• Adventure land - Jungle cruise and Indiana Jones adventure are the main attraction here. Jungle cruise - Small kids are allowed, and they love it , they get to see lots of animals here,it s a boat ride. You can also see " statue of Lord Ganesha" here. Indiana Jones Adventure- Height restriction, but this is an ultimate ride, do not miss it.

• Mickey's toontown - Chip n Dale tree house, Gadget's go coaster (small roller coaster especially made for kids), Mickey's house and Meet mickey, Minnie's House (Minnie do not meet after 4:30, so if your little 1 wants to meet her, be there before 4:30 p.m., or meet her on the main street). You can meet Goofy, Minnie, Mickey and Pluto here.

  

  Chip n Dale Tree House

• Fantasy land - This is the place, where little 1 enjoys it to the fullest. Alice in wonderland (see the whole story through Alice eyes), Casey Jr Circus Train ( A small train ride for everyone in family) , Dumbo the flying elephant, King Arthur Carrousel, Mr, Tod's Wild Ride, Peter Pan's Flight ( best ride, see the story through Peter pan's eyes), Pinocchio's Daring Journey, Sleeping Beauty Castle Walk through, Snow White's Scary Adventures, Story book Land Canal Boats, Pixie Hollow ( check the timing of show, also check what time Tinker bell is meeting the kids).

• Tomorrow land - Astro Orbitor, Autopio (kids love to drive a car here), Buzz light year, Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage, Innoventions, Space Mountain ( my DD got scared in this ride, its a fast ride, so I will suggest if you are little one is afraid of rides, do not take in this one), Star Tours - The Adventure continues. In Innoventions - There is a show of Robots- check the timings of it - as far I remember the last show is before 6:00p.m.

Astro Orbitor

Best way to cover the maximum attraction in Disneyland is in 2 days. After entering on the main gate you will get a map and schedule of all shows. Take a pen, and mark all the attractions you wanna visit, and all the shows you wanna see. Plan according to the shows, as you don't wanna miss them. And then decide which transport you would like to take. I will suggest, take a train, get down at New Orleans square, cover New Orleans square, Adventure land and critter country. Walk down from critter country towards the castle and cover the fantasy land. Walk down to Mickey's toontown, see " it's a small world" ( you have ever dreamed of all dolls in 1 place, so here it is, a collection of all the dolls of the world. They even have the Tajmahal there with few Indian Dolls) and " Princess Fantasy Faire" ( also at the entrance you will get the time schedule of all the shows, check out the timings of grand ball of princess, reach 10 minutes before to get a right seat), then if your little one wants to meet the princess, you can stand in a line, but the line is too big, and it normally takes 30-60 minutes, but spending time here is a worth, as it will be actually " DREAM COME TRUE" for your kiddo. Now, go to " Mickey's Toontown", relax and let your child play, come before the parade time. I guess that is at 6:00p.m. There are parades at 3:p.m. and 6:00p.m. You again need to check the timing for this too. This is the best thing I ever saw. This is loved by everyone in the family. 

In the end, around 8:00p.m., there is a " MICKEY'S SHOW" at Rivers of America It's a Water Show. A beautiful Show, refreshes you. Last but not the least, the fire crackers, starts at 9:30 P.m.( check the timing again please). You will definitely love it.

Now, it must be evening, go to tomorrowland. And see you have covered each and every attractions.

Want to go to downtown Disney for shopping and food, it is connected with a mono rail, which starts from tomorrow land.
