Spicy Paneer-Shimla Mirch

Do you ever realized, we do eat so many veggies, which is full of nutrients.. Recently, I got to know, from my friend, "Kusum Bhabhi", that Bell Peppers are full of Vitamin C... And google told me, that by recent studies in Spain, Bell Peppers are high in Vitamin C and Vitamin E... I am very happy to know this fact, as I love Bell peppers... And, I include it very often in my meal... So, today I am presenting you my favorite dish, "Spicy Paneer- Shimla Mirch". The best thing, I liked about this dish, that it gets ready in 10 minutes... It works as a perfect side dish, when unsuspected guests arrive for a dinner/lunch... Ingredients you need to follow- Paneer - 35-40 pieces (cut in length wise) Green Bell Pepper - 1 (thinly sliced) Beetroot - 1 almond size (thinly sliced) Onion - 1/2 (thinly sliced) Garlic -4-5 cloves (minced) Green Chilli - 2 (vertically sliced) Tomato - 1 ( sliced vertically) Salt to taste Cumin seeds(zeera) - 1tsp Turmeric

Suzi ka halwa

One more very beautiful memory from my childhood... When I was small, my mom use to give me Suzi ka halwa and a glass of milk everyday for a breakfast, in summer vacation... After breakfast, I use to go out to play with my friends, and I am no where in sight for next 3-4 hours... That's the reason, my mom use to give me this combo for breakfast, as it keeps me full for a longer time... And now, I make the same Halwa for my darling daughter...  This is one of the sweet dish, which doesn't take much time to get ready. So, I make it very often to offer to my God... Here, is my mother's recipe which I want to share with you guys. Ingredients you will need- Suzi (semolina) - 1 cup Ghee  - 3/4 cup Sugar - 1 cup Cardamom Powder (crushed elaichi) - 1/4 tsp Nuts (Almonds, Cashews -chopped)- 1/2 cup Boiling Water - 3 cups Directions to follow -  Heat Ghee in an open dry pan.  After Ghee is melted, fry chopped nuts. Palak  Paneer is one of the main dish at my household, which I make every 3rd or 4th day. The reason behind making Palak Paneer so frequently is, to feed my kiddo Palak as much as possible. he do not like Palak Parantha, Alu palak, or any other variations of Palak (spinach)... Which left me with not much choice... I do create variations in making Palak Paneer. But, only this yummy process is approved by her.... I am glad to say, now I really do not have to struggle to feed my family Spinach... Spinach, which is high in vitamins, minerals, iron, calcium and many other minerals, is very important to be eaten on regular basis.. But, our kids do not understand this... I have been making Samosa's for a long time... My father was working in a semi-government office... While growing up, we were staying in a township, and sweets shop was far away from our house... Getting Samosa's every other day was not possible... So, my mom started making it... And by overtime, she became perfectionist... I learnt making Samosa, when I was very young.. Now, I make variations in it... My kiddo's summer vacations has started... I told her to eat all her veggies, and from last 1 week without complaining, she started in doing so... And then, when she asked me to make Paneer Samosa as her breakfast, I couldn't say no to her... But, I just had 15-20 minutes in hand... So, presenting you today Jhatpat Paneer Samosa.... Upside down cakes are my favorites.. And, I mostly love about it is a Gooey taste of my favorite fruits, mixed with the flavor of cake.. It can be created with lots of variations.. One of my favorite upside down cake is with Apple... So, thought of creating it with Lemon... A simple one ingredient can completely alter the flavor of the cake... I mostly work with eggless cakes.. Our this week's ingredient is Lemon... The fact, that I love Lemon.. I knew this is going to be one of my favorite cake... Quinoa Pulao

Quinoa- A grain which is high in protein, rich in essential amino acids and has a low gluten content...  This grain is rich in Vitamins and Minerals too..  Happy to include it in my daily meal... A very thanx to my dear friend Swati Gupta​, who introduced me to this nutritional grain... It have taste of it's own. But, adapts the flavor it is cooked in... So, presenting you today a delicious and complete meal of Quinoa Pulao.. Cooking is an art... And presenting your food is another art... Well, I believe if food in front of you doesn't look appetizing to you, then you are not going to enjoy the food... So,most of the time, I try to present the meal beautifully, which attracts the family itself to the dinner table... Every month, I bake with Bread Bakers... Every time, I try to come out of my comfort zone, and try to bake something which is new to me... This month's theme is Yeast Flat breads... Being Indian, I always make Flat Breads, as it is our staple food..... So, I decided to bake something about which I have never heard off...
