Malpua-Sweet Indian Crepes #BreadBakers
Traditional foods are always close to my heart. I grew up, eating these yummy treats. But, those days (about 20 years back), all ingredients were not easily available. So, we use to get it only on Specific festivals. My mom has to do the preparation and get the ingredients from a week before.
Traditionally these crepes, are fried. They too taste yum... But, these days, my inner self-don't allow me to eat fried food anymore. So, I found out a way, to enjoy these delicious crepes, without a guilt.

Ingredients you will need-
- All Purpose flour (Maida) - 1 1/2 cup
- Banana (Ripe) - 1 (mashed)
- Khowa ( Milk fat)- 1/2 cup
- Almonds - 1/2 cup(broken)
- Sugar - 1 cup
- Cardamom Powder - 1 tsp
- Raisins - 2 tbsp
- Milk as required
Directions to follow-
- Mix Sugar with Mashed Banana.
- Add All Purpose Flour and khowa, and mix.
- Gradually add milk and keep it's consistency as thick as cake batter.
- Leave this batter covered aside, for minimum of 4 hours, and maximum of 8 hours.
- Add Cardamom Powder, Almonds and Raisins to the batter., right before making the crepes.
- In a non-stick pan, spread 2 tbsp of ghee evenly.
- Add the batter , spread, and try to make as thin as possible.
- Let it cook . flip and cook on another side.
- Repeat the same, with rest batter.
- Between, each crepes, spread 1tsp of ghee, on the pan.
- Enjoy it hot, with a creme on the top.
