Green beans cooked with potato

Ingredients -
  1. Green Beans - 12-14 stems ( cut in small equal lengths)
  2. Potato - 1 Small ( cut in small pieces)
  3. Garlic cloves - 3-4 cloves
  4. Onions - 1/4  of big ( chopped)
  5. Tomato - 1 small ( chopped)
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Turmeric Powder - 1tsp
  8. Coriander Powder - 1tsp
  9. Red chilli powder - 1tsp
  10. Olive Oil -  1tsp
  11. Cilantro- 1/2 cup (chopped- to garnish)
  12. Water is needed
Directions -
Washed Beans and Potato

  • Wash Green Beans and Potatoes together and transfer it in a cooking pan. 

Garlic, Onion, Green Chilli and Tomato

  • Add chopped garlic, onions and tomatoes in a pan.

Mixed Ingredients

  • Put the pan on a flame and fry it for 5-7 minutes.
  • Add salt, turmeric powder, Coriander powder and red chilli powder with 1/2 cup of water.
  • Mix it thorougly.

Cooking Stew/Curry

  • Now, add a spoon of Olive oil and mix it properly.
  • Add a glass of water, cover the lid and let it get cooked for another 10-15 minutes, till the vegetables are properly cooked and very little amount of water left in a pan.
  • Take it out in a serving bowl, garnish it with chopped cilantro.
  • Enjoy your beans with rice, parantha, tortilla ( wht ever u want to have).

Coriander seeds chutney

Coriander ( Dhania) seeds chutney


1.   Dhania Seeds - 2 Tablespoon
2.   Garlic Cloves - 4 cloves
3.   Tamarind - 1 inch sq.
4.   Red Chilli - 2 pieces
5.   Salt to taste


Soak Tamarind in 1/2 cup of water for 30 mins. After 30 mins, Smash all tamarind and take out the pulp and remove all seeds.

Put dhania seeds in a dry pan and keep on stirring it for sometime until it turns golden brown. Now, let it cool.

Take a mixer jar, add tamarind pulp, dhania seeds, salt according to taste, red chilli and grind them. Your Chutney is ready.You can have it with Idli, rice. I love it with chapati too.

Gulab Jamun

Ingredients - 

  1. Milk Powder - 2 Tea cups
  2. All Purpose Flour - 6 tbsp
  3. Cardamom Powder - 1tsp
  4. Oil( for frying) - 1 Bowl
  5. Sugar - 2 cup
  6. Water - 2 cup 
  7. Milk - 1 Cup
  8. Raisins - 1 Handful
  9. Almonds - 5( cut in small pieces)
  10. Ghee - 1 tbp
Directions -
  • Mix milk and all purpose flour dry in a bowl.
  • Add cardamom Powder, raisins and mix it.
  • Now, add milk in small quantities, gradually to make a dough, add milk and mix it, it's quite possible the whole amount of milk is not used in making dough.
  • Divide the whole dough in small equal parts.
  • Take a small amount of Ghee in your palm and make smooth balls of each part.
  • Fry each ball but continuously tilting and making it brown from all sides.
  • Now, keep these balls aside in a serving dish and take water and sugar in another pan and boil it, till all the traces of sugar have dissolved.
  • Keep it boiling for another 5-7 minutes.
  • Now, remove it from the flame and let it cool down.
  • When this sugar syrup is lukewarm, add it to the fried balls.
  • Let it get soaked for 2-3 hrs.
  • Garnish it with cut almonds and pistachios from the top.
  • Serve it hot.

Cumin Seeds Rice (Jeera Rice)

Ingredients - 
  1. Basmati Rice - 2 tea cups
  2. Cumin Seeds (Jeera) - 1 tsp
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Water - 4 tea cups
  5. Olive Oil - 1 tbp

    Directions - 
    • Wash the rice and soak it for 15 minutes.
    • Drain the water and take the rice in a microwaveable cooking bowl.
    • Add water, double the quantity of rice.
    • Put it in microwave for 5 minutes on high temperature.
    • Now, take it out, add olive oil, salt and cumin seeds in the bowl.
    • Again cook it on high temperature for 10 minutes.
    • Now, stir the rice in a bowl. If there are some traces of water in the rice, cook it again for 2-3 minutes.
    • Your rice is ready, Enjoy it with curry.
